One could tell from the responsiveness, excellent support, and reduced vibration transmission that the Slumberland Marisa mattress utilizes a pocketed spring system. The PU foam layer was perhaps meant to give the mattress a good firmness and further distribute weight among the pocketed coils, it felt a little over-responsive and was unable to conform to our bodies. The mattress might do better if a latex comfort layer had been used instead, which we’d expect for the price. The comfort could be greatly improved with a latex mattress topper as latex is responsive and bouncy without being overly unforgiving.
